 Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Sales Administrator role based in the West Midlands.
The Sales Administrator will be part of the sales team with handling order processing from quotation to despatch, ensuring accurate data entry into CRM and SAGE 200 systems, and coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams for timely despatch and delivery.
The role involves responding to customer enquiries by phone and email, providing product information, preparing quotations, and following up on open opportunities involving maintaining accounts and account development.

The Sales Administrator will maintain and update customer records, assist with preparing sales reports, and support general office administration such as filing, document preparation, and coordinating incoming and outgoing correspondence.

  Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, professionalism, and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and confident telephone manner.
  • Proficiency in Order Processing, including accurate data entry, managing sales orders/quotations, and tracking deliveries amongst other duties.
  • Basic Sales support skills, such as preparing quotes, following up on enquiries, and supporting the sales team with day-to-day tasks.
  • Administrative Assistance experience, including handling documentation, record-keeping, and general office coordination.
  • Comfortable using business software (e.g., CRM/SAGE 200/Excel systems, Microsoft Office or similar) with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, individually and assisting within the Sales Team, to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Previous experience in an industrial, distribution, or manufacturing environment is beneficial; knowledge of stainless steel or pipeline products is an advantage.
  • Secondary education or equivalent required; additional vocational or administrative qualifications are a plus.
